Pop - born 4th January 1936 - A wonderful brother, dad, grandad and friend who will be sorely missed by us all. In his early years Pop became quite a sportsman and excelled at football, boxing and badminton. Latterly he got much enjoyment from watching football and horse racing on television. Ken enjoyed a debate and spent many hours discussing topical issues with friends and family, naturally his opinion was always right! BBQ's and family gatherings will never be the same without him. Pop fought his illness with great dignity and lived life to the full, nothing gave him more pleasure than being with friends and family. He adored nothing more than having a drink with his two sons. Latterly Pop discovered a passion for cooking and fine dining, he was always discussing recipies he had tried and adored eating at some of the top restaurants, the Auberge du Lac was a particular favourite. Pop we all love you and will never forget you. Pops beloved older brother Laurie sadly passed away on 26th August 2011, he too had a passion for good food and fine wine. Laurie and Pop liked nothing more than a fantastic lunchtime spent in each others company. Laurie will be sorely missed by all friends and family, a quote from a tribute to Laurie by one of his children, 'Whatever is good in me today, I owe to your wisdom, your patience, your strength and your love, you are my guiding light, my father, forever gold in my heart' God bless
